TRC Fabrication LLC / Intermountain Erectors, Inc. is looking for Steel Estimators to provide reliable, consistent, timely and accurate estimates for steel detailing, structural and miscellaneous fabrication and steel erection.

Duties:

Key Performance Objectives (include but are not limited to):

Prepare detailed estimates in accordance with the scope of work, blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare quantity “take-offs” for fabrication and erection of structural steel, miscellaneous steel, stairs and railings.
Apply work hour unit rates for each item in the estimate to generate the overall direct work hours.
Assist in the solicitation of quotes from material and equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and specified manufacturers.
Distribute and maintain control of bid documents.
Identify project requirements for weather protection, cranes, hoists, HES requirements and services.
Analyze project location and productivity associated with the location.
Review labor costs and applicable licensing requirements.
Ensure all bid forms are completed and properly executed.
Facilitate bid review meetings with Upper Management to finalize bid.

Requirements:

2+ years’ experience estimating on structural steel and miscellaneous steel projects.
Competitive bid experience up to $5M preferred.
FabSuite/Tekla, Bluebeam experience strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of AISC.
Thorough understanding of steel fabrication and erection practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities.
Knowledge of estimating Best Practices.
Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
